Join us for an evening of scientific illustration at our free workshop!
State-of-the-art microscopes will be on display with biological samples for you to view and enjoy. We will begin by drawing microscope samples in pencil and then watercolor those drawings, in the tradition of scientific illustration. As you work, scientists from the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology will be available to answer your questions about microscopy, biological sciences, and genomics. Registration will open on March 19.
This work is supported in part by an Urbana Arts Grant.
If you will need disability-related accommodations in order to participate in this event, please contact Corinne Campbell at cannava2@illinois.edu or Julia Pollack at jpollac2@illinois.edu. Early requests are strongly encouraged to allow sufficient time to meet your access needs.
