Join Annette Burke Lyttle for a fascinating talk!
Before improved roads and the advent of the railroads, travel by water was the easiest and fastest way to the newly opened territories of the midwestern United States. Our ancestors traveled on waterways, worked on them, and lived by them. Learn how to reconstruct the stories of their travel and livelihood. This November evening, join the Champaign County Genealogical Society for a presentation on Midwest waterways by Annette Burke Lyttle. Lyttle is a professional genealogist and owner of Heritage Detective.
The presentation will begin at 7:00 pm (CDT). Want some extra time to talk about genealogy? Log on as early as 6:30pm to socialize and get to know other family historians in our group. There will be a society business meeting immediately following the presentation at approximately 8:00pm (CDT).
This event is free and open to the public. A recording of the presentation will be made available to CCGS members following the event.
This event is co-sponsored by the Champaign County Genealogical Society.
