Join staff from the Illinois Central Management Services for a workshop on career opportunities at the State of Illinois!
The State of Illinois Central Management Services (CMS) is hosting an interactive career workshop for community members interested in State employment. The session will introduce attendees to career opportunities with the State of Illinois, explain how to search and apply for positions, review minimum qualifications and job title requirements, provide tips for creating a competitive State of Illinois resume, and offer an overview of the State hiring and interview process, including internship and early-career opportunities.
Following the presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to receive one-on-one career counseling, including resume reviews, assistance in identifying State positions that align with their education and experience, application guidance, and interview preparation. If computers are available, participants may also create applicant accounts, search current State vacancies, and begin applying for positions with assistance from State of Illinois CMS staff.
