Come explore the Cherry Alley pavers!
Did you know that the original alleys of Urbana were here in 1833? The Urbana Free Library is located on the site of one of those, called Cherry Alley. It features a beautiful walkway paved with personalized bricks that create a mosaic of memories.
Join us in Cherry Alley to explore the pavers, share a story about a paver (which one do you like the best?), and do a paver rubbing. You can also enter a drawing to win a personalized paver (one entry per person during the month of August - one winner will be drawn on September 1, 2021 and contacted by the Library).
Throughout the month of August, The Urbana Free Library Foundation is raising awareness of the personalized Cherry Alley pavers as a great way to honor a loved one, colleague, business, or organization. A personalized paver is a lasting way for you to demonstrate your support of the Library and become part of its history. Interested in personalizing a paver? Complete this online form.
