Join the Champaign County Genealogical Society and Celestina Savonius-Wroth to learn about using newspapers for your genealogy research.
Finding your relatives in newspaper publications can be an exciting way to add depth to their stories and fill out their timelines. The Champaign County Genealogical Society will host Celestina Savonius-Wroth, the Head Librarian of the University of Illinois' History, Philosophy, and Newspaper Library (HPNL) and explore the Illinois Newspaper Project's online digital collection. This incredible resource is a project created by the HPNL and the Department of Preservation Services at the University of Illinois Library. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
This event is co-sponsored by the Champaign County Genealogical Society.
