Join our guest instructor in this watercolor workshop where teens will learn how to express themselves through watercolor.
Join Teen Librarians for fun projects and activities! Staff from the CU Fab Lab will join us most weeks. Make sure to register in advance, because this project requires picking up a pre-made kit from the Library before the program begins.
Learn how to mix watercolors and create Twirly Whirls, Alpoona Circle Patterns, Leaves, Florals, and more designs. Teens will practice brush strokes, mixing colors, and exercising their creative freedom. This is not like a “Paint like the Teacher” workshop but more “Be Yourself."
As a mother and artist, Sujata Dey-Koontz has been teaching art for several years. She is mainly recognized in Central Illinois as a Mehndi Henna Artist, but her talents encompass several creative expressions including photography, Prismacolor pencils, collage, and even beaded jewelry making. Check out her work on Instagram @sujatacreates.
This is a two-part program (2/18 & 2/25), but the 2nd part does not rely on the 1st, so you can come to either one or even both.
