Join special guest Artist-in-Residence Curtis Chung during Teen Open Lab to explore the idea of place using ink and marker from 3:00 to 4:30 pm.

Curtis is serving as the first Artist-in-Residence at The Urbana Free Library from October - December 2024 and is passionate about sharing the transformative power of art. An award-winning artist for drawing and creating hyper realistic portraits using graphite and other mediums, he is a recent graduate of the University of Illinois with a B.A. in General Studio Art and a minor in Art History. Currently, he is pursuing an M.A. in Art Education.
For this week of creating/designing, you will have the option on Wednesday of exploring a sense of place with Curtis using ink and marker from 3 to 4:30 pm.
Enjoy Teen Open Lab most Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons. Each week will feature rotating themed activities. Makerspace materials like sewing machines, 3D printers, vinyl sticker cutters, etc. will always be available.
