Discover the genealogy resources for researching your ancestors at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum.
The Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum (formerly the Illinois State Historical Library) hosts a vast collection of genealogical resources and Illinois newspapers. Teri Barnett, ALPLM Newspaper Librarian, will be joining us to walk us through what a visit to the library looks like, what we might expect to find, and how to request the materials that we want to review.
Want some extra time to talk about genealogy? Log on as early as 6:30 p.m. to socialize and get to know other family historians in our group. There will be a society business meeting immediately following the presentation at approximately 8:00 p.m. A recording of the presentation will be made available to CCGS members following the event.
The event is co-sponsored by the Champaign County Genealogical Society.
Conveniently located at the corner of Race and Green in downtown Urbana.
