Adults are invited to explore science through the arts!
At this free 90-minute workshop, explore the beautiful world of bacteria, molds, and fungi through embroidery. Attendees will learn to embroider different stitches to artfully represent microorganisms that scientists are learning about today. As you work, the artist-scientist team from the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology will be present. Attendees will be able to take home craft materials at the end of the workshop. This event is sponsored in part by the Urbana Arts and Culture Commission.
