Dad has posted a list of chores for the family to do before grandma comes, including bathing the cat. But the cat does not want a bath, so she mixes up the instructions, and soon the family is mowing the floor, vacuuming the lawn, mopping the baby, and the house is in chaos.
Alice B. McGinty is an award-winning author of almost 50 children’s books who delights in igniting imaginations. Her books include 2022 JLG Selection/Kid's Indie Next Pick, Bathe the Cat, 2021 ALA Notable Book/JLG Selection/Norman A. Sugarman Honor Book, The Water Lady, and 2019 JLG Selection, The Girl Who Named Pluto: The Story of Venetia Burney. A frequent presenter and recipient of the Prairie State Award for Excellence in Writing for Children, McGinty also runs Words on Fire Writing Camp for Teens and is a book reviewer and writing coach.
