About the Musician
Sabrina Rose Vaughan was first introduced to the harp at the age of six, when her grandmother taught her the first notes of music on a Celtic lap harp custom built by her grandfather. She soon progressed to a full-size lever harp, learning to play music by ear. She began her formal music training at age nine at the Louisville Harp Academy (KY), studying under harp soloist and instructor, Lisa Spurlock Gilmore, from 2009-2018. Sabrina graduated with a bachelor's degree in instrumental music and a minor in global studies from Liberty University. She was awarded the Roslyn Rensch Harp Fellowship at the University of Illinois where she is earning her master’s degree in Harp Performance and Literature. She has performed with the Seminary School of the Arts Faculty and Friends String Orchestra (Southern Theological Seminary), the Louisville Civic Orchestra (Bellarmine University), the Liberty University Symphony Orchestra, and the Missouri Symphony during the MSO Summer 2022 Music Festival.
