The founders of the Champaign County African American Heritage Trail will be talking about the trail project.
Have you had a chance to check out the Champaign County African American Heritage Trail website? At this meeting, founders of the project, Angela M. Rivers and Barbara Suggs Mason, will walk us through this incredible website and all that it has to offer the Champaign County community.
When it is completed, the trail will cover 170 years of rich African American history in Champaign County, celebrating notable locals and brining awareness to previously untold stories.
The presentation will begin at 7:00 pm (CST). Want some extra time to talk about genealogy? Log on at 6:30pm to socialize and get to know other family historians in our group.
Co-sponsored by the Champaign County Genealogical Society.
Conveniently located at the corner of Race and Green in downtown Urbana.
