A Poetry Reading and Book Release Party

Join us to celebrate the release of poet Jazmine Summerville's book, Summer Breeze. Jazmine says she "uses the beauty of her surroundings to create poetic imagery." She hopes her work will challenge the reader to look beneath the surface for deeper meaning. Jazmine will read from her work and will be available to take questions and sign copies of her book. (A small number of books will be available for purchase at the event, or you can purchase a copy in advance through Amazon.) This event is cosponsored by the Urbana Arts and Culture program and Urbana's Poet Laureate, Ashanti Files, will join us for this celebration.
Jazmine Summerville is a graduate of Lewis University. A native of Chicago, Jazmine is married to Darius J. Summerville. The two have three children: Amiyah, Sebastian, and Benjamin. They reside in Champaign, IL.
