Enjoy various activities, get to know your neighbors, and learn more about different community organizations!
We welcome community members of all ages to celebrate Welcoming Week. This week-long celebration of immigration invites neighbors to come together to build strong connections and affirm the importance of welcoming and inclusive spaces.
Activities will include:
Joining the Immigration Project for their Cake Walk: a chance to win a sweet treat and learn more about their legal and social services.
Visiting with Project READ to enjoy books and games and get more information about their tutoring programs.
Listening or dancing along to music and playing games brought by the Urbana Park District's UrVANa.
And more!
In the event of inclement weather, the celebration will be moved indoors to the MacFarlane-Hood and Busey-Mills Reading Rooms.
