Art and Science
Join us for a free 90-minute workshop to create beaded jewelry - the perfect gift just in time for the holidays! As you work, we will explore how scientists working with large datasets can use visualization tools to help people understand their findings. Hear from scientists studying the gut microbiome at the Carl R. Woese Institute for Genomic Biology to see how we can learn from these massive and rich data. The Art Lab team will also be there to guide you through creating your own stunning collage.
Registration is required and registered attendees will take home their beadmaking supplies at the end of the workshop!
This program is sponsored in part by an Urbana Arts and Culture Grant.
Conveniently located at the corner of Race and Green in downtown Urbana.
