Join the Archives to preserve your family's history and make your own family file!
Join the Champaign County Historical Archives for a workshop to preserve your family’s history! Archives staff will help you copy your original items to create a family history file that will be added to the Archives collection. The Archives will provide participants with archival grade folders and preservation tips to safely store the original materials at home. Preserve your family’s history so that future generations can always have access to those who came before them.
What to bring: family records, family trees, newspaper clippings, photos, essays, written memories, letters, and more!
Items to leave at home: any items with sensitive information such as social security numbers, banking information, health records, etc.
Space is limited, so please register in advance!
