Join Sandy Osborne online with the Museum of the Grand Prairie, as she shares the concepts of wool dyeing and weaving that were used long ago in textile creation.
Have you ever wondered how wool from a sheep turns into a wool sweater or carpet? Sandy will share artifacts from the museum used for shearing, spinning, and more, and hands on instructions for the accompanying craft kit. Prepare for the program by coming to the Library to pick up your kit at the Circulation Desk on the First Floor, or call 217-367-4057 to schedule a Curbside Pickup starting Saturday, July 10th. Ask for the Wool & Weaving Kit. (Available while supplies last.)
To view the video, meet us on Facebook Live Saturday morning, July 17th at 9 am, or stop back later to view the recorded video.
