Library staff will share information about The Urbana Free Library Seed Exchange and information on growing your own pollinator plants.
Join Library staff on March 1st, 1 to 4 p.m., at the McKinley Foundation to learn about Monarch butterflies and how to help them thrive in Illinois. The McKinley Foundation in partnership with the Sierra Club Prairie Group are hosting this fun and informative event. We’ll plant milkweed seeds to raise at home, do kid-friendly crafts and games, see butterfly art and movies, and more.
Participating organizations include Anita Purves Nature Center, Champaign County Forest Preserve, Champaign County Soil & Water Conservation District, Faith In Place, Grand Prairie Friends, Pollinatarium, Prairie Rivers Network, Urbana Free Library Seed Exchange, Urbana Park District, Vermilion County Soil and Water Conservation District.
