Do you like drawing and writing? Then this story creation workshop is for you!
This is your chance to become a local author/illustrator! Join The Urbana Free Library and Illustrator Cora Hays for a story creation and drawing workshop. We will help you come up with story ideas, learn easy illustration tricks to help you create your characters, and map out your story from start to finish. Stories begun here can later be submitted to be displayed in StoryWalk® exhibits in Urbana Parks later this summer.
Families are welcome. This workshop will have something for storytellers of all ages, young and old!
Supported in part by a City of Urbana Arts Grant. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
Please register here through the Library’s event calendar. We’ll email you a link and a phone number to the email you provide in your registration so that you can join us online with Zoom.
Haven’t heard of Zoom? Here’s the scoop:
Zoom is a videoconferencing program that allows everyone participating to see each other (and anything in the background!) and speak with each other using a computer or smart phone. Participants without a computer or smart phone can call in to the program like a conference call, but will not be able to see the other participants.
Though this program is online, the Library reminds everyone to be as courteous and kind as they would be at a program in the Library.
