Spoken Word (Slam!) Poetry Workshops for Teen Girls
Life is stressful, especially as a teen. Join Urbana Poet Laureate, Ashanti Files, and spoken-word artist, Shaya Robinson, as they facilitate workshops that teach you how to use writing to reduce stress through:
- Identity exploration.
- All girls welcome, especially those who have experienced prejudice due to race, gender, and age.
- These free sessions take place every other Thursday, 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. from September 8 through December 15.
- Please register to attend.
- More about the facilitator: Shaya Robinson is a spoken word artist who teaches poetry as a tool to reflect on social and racial injustices.
