Join us for the next installment of VIRTUAL Young Artist's Studio!
Come learn about the craft of making Chinese Paper Fans! Join us for the next installment of our Young Artist’s Studio with University of Illinois student Natalie Wess, who will introduce our young participants to handmade red fans inspired by the story of the Chinese Lunar New Year. By the end, participants will have a beautifully decorated fan to keep! After registering online, you may pick up your craft packet beginning February 14th by stopping by the Circulation Desk or calling Curbside Pick up at 367-4057.
The Young Artist's Studio is a series of art workshops sponsored by The Urbana Free Library and The Urbana Arts & Culture Program designed to offer youth an opportunity to explore the arts. All events in the series are free and open to the public. The series is designed for children ages 5 to 11 (7 and under with a caregiver). At present, all studio workshops are conducted via Zoom! Please register here through the Library’s event calendar. We’ll email a link and a phone number to the email you provide in your registration so that you can join us online with Zoom.
