Learn how to crochet coral and how you can add your creations to the Urbana-Champaign Satellite Reef.
The School of Art and Design invites you to participate in creating a crochet coral reef for the Urbana-Champaign Satellite Reef, part of the worldwide Crochet Coral Reef Project created by Margaret and Christine Wertheim. This tutorial will take place on zoom, where we will go over the basics to get you started. No previous experience necessary!
All participants are encouraged to keep crocheting and making corals until the end of March, when we hope you will lend us your creations to be exhibited at The Seibel Center for Design in April 2021. Find the project website for links to Margaret’s lectures and additional tutorials: https://uiucsatellitecrochetcoralreef.wordpress.com/
