Join us on Facebook for a virtual Summer Reading Kick-Off with award-winning children's musician and author Jim Gill!
Get ready to sing, clap, dance, and spin along during this virtual visit with Jim Gill. The library has invited Jim to pick up his banjo and create a special video concert filled with opportunities for children - and the adults that love and care for them – to sing, play, and read along.
As a special feature, Jim will explain how children can get involved in creating pages for a read-along and sing-along video book that will be featured in his closing concert at the end of summer.
Can't make the concert? A recording will be available after the concert on the Library's Facebook page through Monday, June 8th at 11 p.m.
All of Jim’s work can be sampled at www.jimgill.com.
This program is partially supported by a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
The Summer Reading Program is generously supported by the Friends of The Urbana Free Library.
